County-Wide Activities
Through Gods provision, November 1999 became the first united and strategic effort to serve the community in demonstration of Christ's love through the ShareFest initiative in Little Rock Arkansas. The ShareFest vision was subsequently brought back to Lake County by a group of pastors, and resulted in the formation of the Catalyst Group. One Church. Many Organizations. Catalyst vision is "to mobilize a web of local church networks towards the common goal of spiritual revolution - a sustained Christ-awakening across Lake County that results in genuine community transformation". October 7th 2006:
Entertainment Fund Raiser: The "HEART OF THE CITY" Band and 'A Taste of the Neighborhoods' event came together to celebrate through music, ethnic foods and inspiring stories at an outreach. Proceeds went to help Love INC to raise funds to serve the needy in Lake County.
August 25th 2006:
Lake County launches a new website to combine East, Central, and North regions, replacing the previous ShareFest East website. The new website takes over the East's previous www.ShareFest.net, and includes a new front-end interface with duplicated independent project management resources and databases.
August 2005:
Lake County Central Region launches its first ShareFest.
July 2005:
Lake County East Region launches its first website www.ShareFest.net which includes administrative emailing and database tools to manage project resources and communicate details to the volunteer teams. Tremendous efforts were put forth by the website development team. Special recognition goes to Steve and Kristin Trapp from Trapp Web Design for the countless hours volunteered to develop the solid foundation for ShareFest East's future.
September 18th 2004:
Lake County East Region launches its first ShareFest. Over 1100 volunteers from 13 area churches came forward to serve the needs of the community through 38 projects and 30 local organizations. 100 people donated blood. 3000 lbs. of food was gathered and distributed. 456 bags of clothing were sorted, bagged, and distributed!
November 2003:
Lake County North Region launches its first ShareFest.
